4 PACK Adequan Equine Intramuscular (4 x 5 mL bottle)4 PACK Adequan Equine Intramuscular (4 x 5 mL bottle)
If you are searching for a product that treats both the symptoms and the underlying degenerative disease process of horses' joint problems, Adequan r may be a good choice. First, Adequan has important antiinflammatory effects, so it is able to provide relief from the symptoms of joint damage: heat, swelling, pain and lameness. And Adequan can be found in synovial fluid at full herapeutic levels within only two hours of an intramuscular injection. Also, Adequan is a product with potent ability to block the action of the destructive enzymes that threaten to perpetuate the joint inflammation, attack the cartilage and break down synovial fluid. Second, Adequan also stimulates the synovial membrane to manufacture new, viscous synovial fluid to replace the thin fluid that was produced when the joint became injured. By improving this fluid, Adequan helps the joint regain its ability to lubricate and guard itself against further inflammation, and helps reestablish nutrition to the cartilage. And, Adequan attaches itself to damaged cartilage where it has a positive effect on cartilage metabolism. This should favor the cartilage repair process. Adequan is the only joint treatment proven to reduce the inflammation and pain of degenerative joint disease, but also to help stop the degenerative process while stimulating the production of new joint fluid and new cartilage components. You are no longer just treating symptoms: you're doing something to help stop the degenerative process. DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION: The recommended dose of Adequan IM in horses is 500mg every 4 days for 28 days intramuscularly. The injection site must be thoroughly cleansed prior to injection. Do not mix Adequan IM with other drugs or solvents. Comes in 500mg/5ml glass vials. A prescription is required for these products. Click here for details

Glyco-Flex for Horses (60 Servings) by VETRI-SCIENCEGlyco-Flex for Horses (60 Servings) by VETRI-SCIENCE
Glyco-Flex for horses is a nutritional supplement produced from pure Perna Canaliculus, a filter-feeding sea mussel grown in New Zealand that contains all 9 classes of glycosaminoglycans. Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are synthesized locally in the horse's body. They are as essential to health as are vitamins, minerals, enzymes and essential fatty acids. GAGs have been referred to as the "glue of life." As horses mature GAG's can dry out or become displaced. The addition of cinnamon oil, caramel and alfalfa makes Glyco-Flex highly palatable. glyco flex

Legend (4 ml) EachLegend (4 ml) Each
Legend (hyaluronate) Injectable Solution, 10 mg/ml, 4 ml vial Legendr (hyaluronate sodium) Injectable Solution is a clear, colorless solution of low viscosity. Legend Injectable Solution is pyrogen free, sterile and does not contain a preservative. It is administered by intravenous or intra-articular injection. Hyaluronic acid, the conjugate acid of hyaluronate sodium, is extracted from the capsule of Streptococcus spp. and purified, resulting in a form which is essentially free of protein and nucleic acids. Legend Injectable Solution is supplied in 2 ml (20 mg) and 4 ml (40 mg) vials. Each ml contains 10 mg hyaluronate sodium, 8.5 mg sodium chloride, 0.223 mg sodium phosphate dibasic and 0.04 mg sodium phosphate monobasic. The pH is adjusted to between 6.5 and 8.0 with sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid. Chemistry: Hyaluronic acid, a glycosaminoglycan, can exist in the following forms depending upon the chemical environment in which it is found: as the acid, hyaluronic acid; as the sodium salt, sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronate sodium); or as the hyaluronate anion. These terms may be used interchangeably but in all cases, reference is made to the glycosaminoglycan composed of repeating subunits of D-glucuronic acid and N-acetyl-D-glucosamine linked together by glycosidic bonds. Since this product originates from a microbial source, there is no potential for contamination with dermatan or chondroitin sulfate or any other glycosaminoglycan. Pharmacology: Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance present in connective tissue, skin, vitreous humour and the umbilical cord in all mammals. High concentrations of hyaluronic acid are also found in the synovial fluid. It also constitutes the major component of the capsule of certain microorganisms. The hyaluronic acid produced by bacteria is of the same structure and configuration as that found in mammals. The actual mechanism of action for hyaluronate sodium in the healing of degenerative joint disease is not completely understood. One major function appears to be the regulation of normal cellular constituents. This effect decreases the impact of exudation, enzyme release and subsequent degradation of joint integrity. Additionally, hyaluronate sodium exerts an anti-inflammatory action by inhibiting the movement of granulocytes and macrophages. Hyaluronate molecules are long chains which form a filter network interspersed with normal cellular fluids. It is widely accepted that injection directly into the joint pouch enhances the healing of inflamed synovium by restoring lubrication of the joint fluid. This further supplements the visco-elastic properties of normal joint fluid. Contraindications: There are no known contraindications for the use of Legendr (hyaluronate sodium) Injectable Solution in horses. Toxicology: Legend Injectable Solution was administered to normal horses at one, three and five times the recommended intra-articular dosage of 20 mg and the intravenous dosage of 40 mg. Treatments were given once weekly for nine consecutive weeks (three times the maximum duration). No systemic clinical signs were observed nor were there any adverse effects upon hematology or clinical chemistry parameters. A transient, slight to mild post-injection swelling of the joint capsule occurred in some of the animals treated intra-articularly with Legend Injectable Solution as it did in the saline treated control horses. No gross or histological lesions were observed in the soft tissues or the surface areas of the treated joint. Side Effects or Adverse Reactions: No local or systemic side effects were observed in the clinical field trials with either intravenous or intra-articular injections. This item only ships through vaccine shipping(fedex overnight on ice) A prescription is required for these products. Click here for details

Quest 2% Oral GelQuest 2% Oral Gel
Small strongyles are the #1 parasite in horses. These dangerous invaders are able to "encyst" or encapsulate in the horse's intestine, living inside a walled-off structure and resist ivermectin dewormers. Only QUEST can penetrate this structure and kill deadly encysted small strongyles in one dose. And that's just one more reason to make QUEST your clear choice for parasite control. Active Ingredient(s): Contains 20 mg moxidectin/mL (2.0% w/v). Indications: QUESTT (moxidectin) 2% Equine Oral Gel when administered at the recommended dose level of 0.4 mg moxidectin/kg (2.2 lb) body weight is effective in the treatment and control of the following stages of gastrointestinal parasites in horses and ponies: Large strongyles: Strongylus vulgaris - (adults and L4/L5 arterial stages); Strongylus edentatus - (adults and tissue stages); Triodontophorus brevicauda - (adults); Triodontophorus serratus - (adults). Small strongyles: Cyathostomum spp - (adults); Cylicocyclus spp. -(adults); Cylicostephanus spp. - (adults); Gyalocephalus capitatus - (adults); Undifferentiated lumenal larvae. Encysted cyathostomes: Late L3 and L4 mucosal cyathostome larvae. Ascarids: Parascaris equorum - (adults and L4 larval stages). Pin worms: Oxyuris equi - (adults and L4 larval stages). Hair worms: Trichostrongylus axei - (adults). Large-mouth stomach worms: Habronema muscae - (adults). Horse stomach bots: Gasterophilus intestinalis - (2nd and 3rd instars). One administration of the recommended dose rate of QUESTT 2% Equine Oral Gel also suppresses strongyle egg production through 84 days. QUESTT is indicated for use in horses and ponies, including breeding mares and stallions, and foals four months of age and older. Dosage and Administration: QUESTT is packaged in a ready-to-use Sure-DoseT syringe. Each syringe is calibrated in a manner which enables administration of the dose level of 0.4 mg moxidectin/kg body weight by simply choosing a setting consistent with the horses weight. To use the Sure-DoseT syringe, unlock the latch and slide it and the attached moveable weight-selection tape to the mark corresponding to the animal's weight. The tape is marked in 50-lb increments. Determination of the horse's body weight by the use of a scale or girth-tape is recommended to insure accurate dosing. Once the correct calibration mark is selected and checked, lock the latch. Verify that the animal's mouth contains no feed. Remove the syringe cap and insert the syringe into the animal's mouth through the interdental space. With the tip of the syringe near the base of the tongue, push the plunger until the latch comes in contact with the barrel of the syringe. Remove the syringe and raise the treated animal's head to assure proper swallowing of the gel. Replace the syringe cap. The remaining contents of the syringe can be used to treat additional horses or ponies. Each syringe of QUESTT (moxidectin) 2% Equine Oral Gel may be used to treat more than one animal especially when dosing foals, ponies and growing and lighter breeds of horses.
